I got bored this afternoon and felt I was being unproductive by watching a bit of jezza - so I grabbed a pen and paper and got to work.

Deity
This is a series of self portraits which collaborates make up techniques based on tribal & indian gods, merged with staged photographs mimicking ‘deity’ imagery. This is in no way an attack on religion, but it is to show that with a couple of hours spare and some make up, that iconic imagery, using these simple elements and lighting techniques can be produced. The...

Architecture
I have been reading The Story of Architecture by Patrick Nuttgens and admiring the incredible buildings we mere humans have created. So when you get dragged under by how incredibly naive and shallow the masses are becoming around you these buildings are a bold reminder of what we are capable of when we set our minds to something. Here are a few favourites <3 (my...

May Day, 1947. Photograph by Richard Wiles. “There’s a photograph in the book called The Leaper. It’s old, but it’s beautiful. From above the corpse of a woman who’d just leapt to her death. There’s blood around her head, like a halo… and her leg’s buckled underneath, her arm’s snapped like a twig, but her face is so serene, so at peace. And I think it’s because when she died, she could ...

This man could quite possibly be my new favourite photographer. I do not know HOW the hell i got through five years of art schools without him being mentioned to me. Christ on a bike he is unbelievable! *”We photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing, and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth can make them come back again. We cannot develop and print a...

Iconic Photography
This Blog is almost certainly THE most interesting i have ever read in my internet based life. It covers many amazing photographers and photographs which i had never seen or heard of but which have shocked and moved me dramatically on a Sunday morning. Here are a couple of favourites (although i’m not sure favourite is the appropriate term) Sergej Strunnikow’s portrait of Soviet...

Hindley & Brady
My boyfriend and I decided not long after we met that we’d go out for Halloween as Myra Hindley & Ian Brady. When the time for halloween came around we both adorned costumes and bloodied ourselves up. I did both of our hair and make up and borrowed the hiding child as a prop. Lovely times!

The Positive(s) About Being Single.
(1) No one to distract you when you’re doing work. (2) Watching porn seems to serve more of a purpose than when you could get it when you wanted it. (3) When you see a hot guy/girl you don’t feel guilty about wanting to fuck them. (4) You don’t turn into a soppy cunt and decide that roses and puppies are awesome. (5) You don’t have to worry about shaving your legs...
